I got a lot of feedback after the video release, most of the remarks were about the background graphics, but here is the full list of the negative remarks (positive ones no need to list them), and what we are going to do to address them.
Listed by order of recurrence:
Background graphics:
Many like the background graphics, but looks like an equal many or slightly more see in the graphics Flash style, and smooth too much clean look.
After discussion with Toni Galvez, we are decided to address this issue as top priority.
What I understood is that with the high resolution we are using, it is very difficult to do tile graphics that look great and have the style of good looking 16bits games.
But we will find a solution (either lower the colour count, use filters, or try other solutions) to make the graphics looks more detailed and more "dirty", less clean and less smooth.
Gameplay diversity:
We have many ideas for the final game, including ninja transformation, special power use, bonus stages, and real time cutscenes to break the monotony.
Camera switching:
When looking left and then right, the camera is too quick for some, this will be fixed.
Sound effects:
Most sounds will be fixed and revised.
We are starting to prepare for the kickstarter and plan to release the demo (which I will be packaging soon) a bit before the kickstarter starts.
I have asked the musician for a new music track, and we'll have new ninja form of Dan, as well as boss Freddy Mercury to show.
